Job summary

Bay Area Hospital is seeking a Part-time Phlebotomist Clerical Support to obtain blood specimens from patients of all ages in a courteous, professional manner. The role combines phlebotomy duties with clerical tasks in the Laboratory department.

Qualified candidates will have high school diploma or equivalent, plus phlebotomy certification or pending recertification preferred; familiarity with HIS/LIS systems and office equipment, and strong confidentiality and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Registered as a Certified Laboratory Phlebotomist or ASCP national certification preferred or pending recertification.

Responsibilities

• Obtains blood specimens from patients of all ages.
• Maintains confidentiality and professional interaction with patients and staff.
• Performs clerical tasks in the Laboratory department as assigned.
