An established healthcare provider is seeking a dedicated part-time phlebotomist to join their team. In this role, you will perform essential patient care duties, including phlebotomy, EKGs, and clerical responsibilities, all while ensuring a high standard of patient interaction and care. Part Time (40 hours/biweekly)
Shift: Day/Evening/Nights
Position Function: Under the direct supervision of phlebotomy supervisor or designee, performs clerical, phlebotomy (all age/population groups), computer functions pertaining to ordering and collection, EKG, vitals, collection of blood specimens off site including nursing home patients, and other patient care duties in a patient care unit/area.
Education: Formal education and training: Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program and/or graduate of an accredited phlebotomy program or the equivalent in relative experience; demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology required. Informal or continuing education: Continuing education required as necessary to stay current.
Experience: Experience applying customer service behaviors and communication skills required. Proficiency in phlebotomy preferred; proficiency in EKG preferred; computer literacy and typing skills preferred.
Certifications/Licensure: Maintains current CPR certification. Must have valid driver's license in the current state of residence. Driving record must meet requirements established by WellSpan Risk Management.
