Job summary

The Valley Health System in Las Vegas, NV is hiring a Phlebotomist. You will perform venipunctures and specimen collections, with supervision as needed, while following testing and collection requirements.

Preferred candidates have a phlebotomy program and an HS diploma; certification is required on hire, with licensure pathways for Laboratory Assistant or Point of Care if nationally certified, and prior lab/ER experience is a plus.

• Prefer previous experience as a Lab Assistant, phlebotomist, ER tech, LPN or paramedic with phlebotomy skill set.

Technical Skills

Basic computer knowlege required.

License/Certification

Phlebotomy certification required upon hire (Laboratory Assistant or Point of Care analyst license may be substituted for certification). Licensed Practical Nurse, License Advanced EMT and Licensed Paramedic are also accepted. If national certification then Laboratory Assistant or Point of Care Analyst licensure with the State of Nevada within 6 months of hire.
