Labcorp invites applications for a Float Phlebotomist position in Surfside Beach, SC. This per diem role provides flexible hours up to 19 per week, with travel to additional sites as needed.

You will collect blood samples from all ages, perform data entry, and support billing and administrative tasks while delivering excellent patient service. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and phlebotomy certification or equivalent training or 6 months’ experience.

• Phlebotomy certification or completed phlebotomy training program or 6+ months of phlebotomy experience accepted.
• In lieu of experience, certification or training from an accredited agency is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Input patient information accurately and timely in the data system.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain logs for patients and specimens and ensure accuracy.

Labcorp is seeking a phlebotomist to join our team in Surfside Beach, SC. Work Schedule: This is a Per Diem/Casual position and hours will be as needed based upon business needs, not to exceed 19 hours per week.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
• Other Duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed Phlebotomy training program or 6 months’ or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Must have a Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
• Must be 21 years’ old

Compensation

PST’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics. Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement.

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.

Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
