Job summary

Labcorp in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform blood collections, collect specimens, and be the face of the company while delivering exceptional customer service.

The role is a casual position with a Monday–Friday schedule between 7:00am and 7:00pm, with rotating weekends. Growth opportunities and comprehensive benefits are provided as part of the Labcorp team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent phlebotomy certification or training program.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred; 6 months or more as a phlebotomist is desirable.
• Ability to pass a color blindness test and deliver accurate patient data.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely
• Process billing information and collect payments
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Charlotte, NC. At Labcorp we have a passion in helping people live happy and healthy lives. We are currently seeking a Phlebotomist to work in either a Patient Service Center or Client office. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. Work Schedule

Monday - Friday anywhere between the hour of 7:00am - 7:00pm with rotating weekends, hours may vary as this is a casual position.

Job Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
