Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrates technique using straight and butterfly needles.
• Ensures test requisitions align with specimens and packages specimens for transport.
• Stores specimen samples according to required temperatures.
