Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and specimen labeling.
• Centrifuge and decontaminate specimens; record maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Match requisitions to specimen tubes and label appropriately.
• Package specimens for transport and store per protocol.
• Adhere to OSHA and DEP regulations; participate in trainings.
• Answer calls and review lab results to respond to inquiries.
