The incumbent in this position is responsible for collecting and preparing specimens for laboratory analysis. Accurately obtains blood samples via venipuncture and capillary collection procedures with minimum patient discomfort. Ensures age‑appropriate care is provided to patients from infant to geriatric. Ensures specimen integrity by following the laboratory’s procedures for specimen collection, handling, and processing. Promotes quality patient/client relations and creates supportive climate. Respects and maintains the confidentiality of information relative to the laboratory. Adheres to all laboratory policies and regulations.
This position may be eligible for a sign on incentive.
