Labcorp in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform blood collections, data entry, and patient support. The role includes travel to additional sites and handling billing tasks as needed, with a focus on accurate lab specimen processing.

The position requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and phlebotomy experience; certification is preferred. Schedule is 7on/7off (Wed–Tue) 12:30 PM–10:00 PM with rotating weekends; strong customer service and communication skills are essential.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in Birmingham, AL.

Work Schedule: 7on/7off Wednesday - Tuesday 12:30PM - 10:00PM with rotating weekends

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups

• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.

• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner

• Process billing information and collect payments when required

• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis

• Maintain patient and specimen information logs

• Provide superior customer service to all patients

• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary

• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 6 months or more of phlebotomy experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist

Additional Job Standards:

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency

• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service

• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently or in a team environment

• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

• Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable

• Flexibility to work overtime as needed

• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
