Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in Birmingham, AL. The role involves venipuncture and capillary blood collection, specimen handling, data entry, and direct patient service. You will support multiple sites and may travel as needed.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and phlebotomy experience; certification or training is preferred. The schedule runs Wednesday to Tuesday 3:00AM–12:30PM with rotating weekends and holidays.

• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 6 months or more of phlebotomy experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
