Shift: 4:00 AM - 12:30 PM; Weekend and/or Holiday Rotation; Rotating Shifts

WHAT WILL YOU DO

This role involves collecting blood specimens, performing laboratory office duties, and processing laboratory specimens. Responsibilities include registering patients, accurately entering data into the computer system, specimen accessioning, answering calls, and processing paperwork. You will prepare specimens for testing or for dispatch to the central or reference laboratories. Handling blood, body fluids, and urine specimens according to established procedures is required. You may also perform limited waived and non-waived POC tests as authorized. In some facilities, you may act as a driver and participate in on-call rotations.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Previous phlebotomy experience and/or training is required.

Background in a medical laboratory and/or knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.

Valid driver’s license and a good driving record are required.

May be required to travel/drive to other locations.
