H. T. PROF Group in Boone, NC is seeking a contract phlebotomist to support a fast-paced clinical lab. Responsibilities include performing venipunctures, labeling and centrifuging specimens, and documenting maintenance and patient information.

This role runs 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday, for about 3 months with potential for permanent hire. Candidate must have at least 6 months of venipuncture experience and a high school diploma or phlebotomy certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and labels.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure correct storage conditions.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly to patients and comply with OSHA guidelines.
