We are one of the largest integrated laboratory networks serving hospitals in the Midwest region, including 32 hospitals and multiple physician offices.
This role involves collecting blood specimens, performing laboratory office duties, and processing laboratory specimens. Office duties include registering patients, accurately entering data into the computer system, accessioning specimens, answering calls, and managing paperwork. Specimen processing includes preparing specimens for testing or for transfer to the central or reference laboratories. The role also involves handling blood, body fluids, and urine specimens according to established procedures, and performing limited waived and non-waived POC tests as authorized by the Laboratory Director. In some facilities, this individual may also act as a driver and participate in on-call rotations.
