WHAT WILL YOU DO

This role involves collecting blood specimens, performing laboratory office duties such as patient registration, data entry, specimen accessioning, answering calls, and processing paperwork. You will prepare specimens for testing or transfer to the central or reference laboratories. Responsibilities also include handling blood, body fluids, and urine specimens according to procedures, and performing limited waived and non-waived POC tests as authorized by the Laboratory Director. In some facilities, you may also act as a driver and participate in on-call rotations.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous phlebotomy experience and/or training is required.
  • Background in a medical laboratory or knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
  • Willingness to travel/drive to other locations as needed.
