Job summary

CHI Williston Health is seeking a Phlebotomist to competently collect blood and other patient specimens for diagnostic testing, ensuring comfort and safety for every patient.

You will perform venipunctures, label and prepare specimens, and follow safety protocols, while communicating clearly with patients and staff to support accurate diagnostics and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, upon hire.
• Less than 1 year Phlebotomy in Acute Care Facility.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support - CPR, within 90 Days.

Responsibilities

• Identifies patients and explains procedures.
• Performs venipunctures and collects specimens for testing.
• Labels and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Adheres to safety protocols and isolation/hand hygiene procedures.
• Maintains orderly phlebotomy trays, stations and storage rooms.
• Ensures quality samples and proper volume requirements.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Phlebotomist at CHI Williston Health, you will competently collect blood and other patient specimens for diagnostic testing, ensuring comfort and safety.

Every day you will identify patients, explain procedures, proficiently perform venipunctures, and accurately label/prepare specimens for laboratory analysis, adhering to safety protocols.

To be successful, you will demonstrate exceptional technical proficiency, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills for accurate diagnostics and patient satisfaction.

• Practices positive patient identification at all times, in all job functions
• Practices HumanKindness and courtesy with all patient and co-worker interactions. Establishes and maintains good communication within the department and with other hospital departments
• Compliance with isolation and hand sanitization procedures
• Follows blood collection procedures, performs venous and capillary punctures on all age groups of inpatient and outpatient populations. Utilizes appropriate collection techniques to obtain quality samples and adheres to appropriate volume requirements
• Performs Blood Bank collections. Follows written collection and Blood Bank banding procedures. Demonstrates accuracy and good penmanship. Adheres to specimen requirements
• Maintains order and cleanliness of phlebotomy trays, stations and storage rooms

We are offering a $5,000 employment incentive to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.

• Phlebotomy Technician NHCA, upon hire
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician, upon hire
