Job summary

Piedmont HealthCare PA in Statesville, NC is seeking a PRN Phlebotomist to perform venipuncture for outpatients and inpatients. This position supports laboratory collections and patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least one year of health care experience, and knowledge of phlebotomy techniques. You will work under supervision of physicians and office staff, with primary duties scheduled as needed.

Requirements

EDUCATION

High school diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of one-year work experience, preferably in health care. Phlebotomy experience helpful.

ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS

Moves among many outpatient and inpatient settings. Exposure to communicable diseases, sharp instruments, bodily fluids and cleaning chemicals.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS

Must be able to walk to various settings and to bend and reach. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and help with patient transport and transfer. Occasional stress in dealing with priorities.
