Job summary

Labcorp in Sherman, TX is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform blood collections and manage patient specimens in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will handle data entry, billing support, and maintain meticulous records while delivering outstanding patient care.

The role supports a Monday–Thursday 8:00am–5:00pm schedule with Friday hours and potential overtime. Prior LabCorp experience and phlebotomy certification are preferred, and a strong customer service mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience in clinical/hospital settings preferred.
• Ability to assist diverse patient groups (pediatric to geriatric).
• Experience with LabCorp systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Sherman, TX (75090) Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday 8:00am to 5:00pm; Friday 8:00am - 2:30pm (additional hours / rotating Saturdays may be requested as needed)

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment
• 1 or more years' assisting all patient groups (pediatric - geriatric)
• Current or prior LabCorp experience

Additional Job Standards:

• In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. * Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics
