Job summary

Labcorp in the Richardson/Garland, TX area is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform venipuncture and capillary collections across age groups, travel to client sites, and maintain accurate records while delivering exceptional patient service.

The role requires a high school diploma, 2+ years phlebotomy experience, and flexibility to cover shifts 7:00am–7:00pm with overtime as needed. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years' phlebotomy experience in a clinical/hospital setting.
• 1+ years' experience assisting patients across age groups (pediatric to geriatric).
• Current or prior LabCorp experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Travel to client, hospital and PSC locations.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Will primarily cover sites in Richardson / Garland, TX and surrounding areas (approximately 30+ miles).

Monday - Friday hours will vary based on coverage needs between 7:00am to 7:00pm (overtime and rotating weekends may be required as needed)

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment
• 1 or more years' experience assisting all patient age groups (pediatric - geriatric)
• Current or prior LabCorp experience

Additional Job Standards

• Will primarily cover sites in Richardson / Garland, TX and surrounding areas. (approximately 30+ miles)
• Ability to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Be 21 years of age or older
• Have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Reliable transportation needed
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Float Incentive

• Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement
• QUARTERLY INCENTIVE BONUS PROGRAM
• Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics
