Job Responsibilities

• Collect and test specimens, understanding rejection criteria.
• Perform venipuncture and skin puncture on patients of all ages.
• Complete documentation for specimen collection.
• Follow procedures for patient identification and test ordering.
• Educate patients and families about specimen collection procedures.
• Use computer systems related to job functions.
• Perform clerical duties such as faxing, phone calls, and report management.
• Review outstanding specimen reports and resolve issues.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Vocational/technical diploma.
• Phlebotomy certification is a plus.
• Less than 1 year of clinical laboratory experience.
• Time management and customer service skills.
