Job summary

PCH Princeton Community Hospital in Princeton, WV is seeking a dedicated phlebotomist to perform blood draw and blood culture collection, as well as non-blood specimens such as urine and sputum. You will execute venipunctures and skin punctures promptly while maintaining patient comfort and specimen integrity.

Responsibilities include labeling specimens, operating basic lab equipment, documenting results, and following chain of custody procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months of phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy Certification (CPT) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consistently draws blood competently and expediently with minimal patient discomfort.
• Properly labels all specimens in the presence of the patient.
• Operate basic laboratory equipment (e.g., centrifuges, printers, scanners, etc.).
• Communicate effectively with patients, clients, and staff.
• Perform clerical duties such as filing, report distribution, processing, and faxing.
• Collect drug screens using Chain of Custody Process if applicable.
