Job summary

Palmdale Regional Medical Center in Palmdale, CA, is seeking a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) to join its Laboratory team. Under the Department Manager and Phlebotomy Supervisor, you will perform specimen collection and processing in accordance with hospital policies.

Preferred candidates have two years of hospital experience, a high school education, a CPT1 certificate, current BLS, and CPI training within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Two years hospital experience preferred but not required.
• General education level: high school diploma.
• CPT1 certificate meets CA Health Dept requirements.
• Current BLS certification; CPI within 30 days of hire.

Position Description:

Under the direction of the Department Manager and/or Phlebotomy Supervisor, the Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) is responsible for specimen collection and processing and is guided by the policies and procedures of Laboratory department and the hospital.

Qualifications

Job Duties/Responsibilities Requirements:

• Two years prior hospital experience preferred, but not required
• General education level (high school)
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician 1 (CPT1) certificate, which meets the California Department of Health, Lab field services
• Current BLS certification.
• CPI is required within 30 days of hire.
