The role supports high-quality patient care in a modern 184-bed hospital; requires CPT1, current BLS, CPI within 30 days, and a HS diploma. Two years hospital experience preferred.

Position Description

Under the direction of the Department Manager and/or Phlebotomy Supervisor, the Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) is responsible for specimen collection and processing and is guided by the policies and procedures of Laboratory department and the hospital.

Job Duties/Responsibilities Requirements

• Two years prior hospital experience preferred, but not required
• General education level (high school)
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician 1 (CPT1) certificate, which meets the California Department of Health, Lab field services
• Current BLS certification.
