Job summary

Palmdale Regional Medical Center in Palmdale, CA, is seeking a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) to join our Laboratory team under the Department Manager and Phlebotomy Supervisor.

The CPT collects and processes specimens per hospital policies, requires CPT1, BLS, CPI within 30 days, and may prefer 2 years hospital experience; high school diploma; CA DOH compliance.

Qualifications

• Two years hospital experience preferred, but not required.
• General education level (high school).
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician 1 (CPT1) certificate per California DOH Lab field services.
• Current BLS certification.
• CPI is required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collect and process specimens according to hospital policies.
• Work under the Department Manager and/or Phlebotomy Supervisor guidance.
• Adhere to California Department of Health regulations and lab procedures.

Position Description:

Under the direction of the Department Manager and/or Phlebotomy Supervisor, the Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) is responsible for specimen collection and processing and is guided by the policies and procedures of Laboratory department and the hospital.

Qualifications

• Certified Phlebotomy Technician 1 (CPT1) certificate, which meets the California Department of Health, Lab field services
