Actalent seeks a Phlebotomist to perform blood draws and specimen collection in physician office settings serving patients of all ages, with emphasis on geriatric care. You will label, process, and store specimens, explain procedures to patients, and maintain accurate records across systems.
Responsibilities include venipuncture, sample preparation, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced clinic environment with a dedicated team.
This Phlebotomist role focuses on performing high-quality blood draws and specimen collection in busy physician office settings that serve patients of all ages, with a strong emphasis on geriatric care. You will collect, label, process, and store specimens in accordance with established procedures and regulatory standards, while providing clear, courteous explanations of the collection process to patients. The position requires accurate handling of laboratory requisitions, use of centrifuges and other equipment to prepare specimens for testing and transport, and diligent documentation and data entry to maintain patient records and laboratory integrity.

The environment is fairly large and fast-paced, with a high volume of daily patient visits and an increased number of physicians, which creates a strong need for additional phlebotomy support. You will work as part of a collaborative team rather than alone, and you will spend most of your shift standing and performing blood draws, typically completing 20–40 draws per day. The patient population spans all ages, with a particular focus on geriatric care. The first week of employment is dedicated to orientation and training to familiarize you with procedures, systems, and safety requirements. Dress is consistent with a professional clinical setting, and you will use standard phlebotomy and laboratory equipment, including needles, collection tubes, centrifuges, and computer systems for documentation and label generation.
