Responsibilities

1. The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
2. The PSR I draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
3. The PSR I has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.
4. The PSR I will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.
5. Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
6. Maintain a safe and professional environment.
7. Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
8. Maintain required records and documentation.
9. Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Minimum Requirements

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Medical training preferred (medical assistant or paramedic).
3. Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
4. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
5. Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
6. Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
7. Minimum of 6 months of experience; 1+ years preferred.
8. Customer service experience preferred.
9. Keyboard/data entry experience required.
10. Candidates should be within a 20-25 min commute to ensure ability to travel to/from the site.
11. Shift: M-F 5:30 am - 2:30 pm with rotational Saturdays.
