Job summary

Labcorp in Oklahoma City, OK is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform blood collections, collect specimens for testing, and provide compassionate patient service in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and phlebotomy experience. Travel to additional sites may be needed; color vision testing and a valid driver’s license are required. Labcorp offers quarterly incentive bonuses and comprehensive benefits.

  • In lieu of work experience, phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency accepted.

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages.
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
  • Perform urinalysis dips and pregnancy kit tests.
  • Enter patient information accurately in the system.

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Oklahoma City, OK (73141)

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:15am - 1:15pm (additional hours/ rotating Saturdays may be requested as needed)

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
  • Perform Urinalysis dips and pregnancy kit tests
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment
  • 1 or more years' experience assisting all patient groups (pediatric - geriatric)
  • Current or prior LabCorp experience
Additional Job Standards
  • In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Able to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment
  • Be 21 years of age or older
  • Have a valid driver's license and clean driving recordWill provide coverage to client / PSC environments when needed
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision

This role will work in our client's office setting to provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics
