Job summary

Hchcares in New Castle, Indiana, is seeking a qualified Phlebotomist to join our laboratory team. You will work closely with staff to perform tests and ensure accurate specimen collection, while delivering friendly patient service.

Requirements include a registered CPT Phlebotomist credential and BLS certification. Full-time schedule is Monday through Thursday, 6 AM–4 PM, with occasional weekends and rotating holidays. We offer competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to read instructions clearly and write legibly.
• Strong communication skills.
• Moderate manual dexterity.
• Must be a registered CPT Phlebotomist or equivalent.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with laboratory staff to perform tests as ordered.
• Maintain a friendly attitude with patients and answer questions.
• Interact with nursing personnel for requisitions and charting.
• Assist patients and physicians with test preparation information.
• Schedule patients for testing.

• Works closely with all laboratory personnel to facilitate the performance of laboratory tests as ordered by the physician
• Maintains a pleasant and friendly attitude with patients and tries to answer their questions to the best of their ability
• Interacts with nursing personnel in the completion of laboratory requisitions and the charting
• Assists patients and physicians in acquiring correct information about preparation for testing
• Schedules patients for testing

Qualifications

• Ability to read well enough to follow instructions, write legibly, have good communication skills and a moderate degree of manual dexterity
• Must be a registered CPT Phlebotomist or equivalent
• BLS certification required
