The successful candidate will draw blood from patients of all ages, ensure proper labeling and timely transport to the lab, and uphold the highest standards of safety and patient care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a certified phlebotomy course preferred.
• Demonstrated phlebotomy experience.
• Strong interpersonal, computer, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture to obtain blood specimens.
• Deliver or send specimens to laboratory promptly.
• Draw blood from patients of all ages daily.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Job Summary:

The Phlebotomist performs venipuncture procedures to obtain blood specimens and sends or delivers the specimens to the laboratory in a timely manner. The phlebotomist will be expected to draw blood from babies, children, adolescents, adults, and elderly patients on a daily basis.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a certified phlebotomy course (strongly preferred)
• Demonstrated phlebotomy experience
• Interpersonal skills to successfully interact with all co-workers, staff, patients, patient families and vendors.
• Good phlebotomy, computer, and communication skills.
