Position Summary

A phlebotomist collects and processes blood specimens for testing in the laboratory.

• Labels, processes and delivers specimens for testing.
• Collects blood specimens using age‑appropriate techniques.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies.
• Assists with coordinating and conducting blood drives, including interviewing and screening donors.

What We Are Looking For

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred); An approved nationally accredited training course in Phlebotomy (Preferred)
• Certification from ASCP or NHA (Preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) to be obtained within 30 days of hire
• Formal Phlebotomy training (Preferred)
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
