Talentify is seeking a Phlebotomist to collect blood samples at our Lynwood, CA location. This onsite contract role runs for 3 months with hours Mon-Fri 7:30 AM-4:30 PM and rotating Saturdays, 7:00 AM-12:00 PM.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, phlebotomy skills including pediatric/geriatric, and California licensure where required. Prior data entry and customer-service experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA/NV/WA.
• California Phlebotomy license required.

Contract Details

• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 3 months
• Pay Rate: $22.00-$27.20 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:30 PM; Rotating Saturdays, 7:00 AM-12:00 PM

Job Summary

The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions. The PSR I draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. The PSR I has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner. The PSR I will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.

Required Skills

• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Keyboard/data entry experience a must.

Preferred Skills

• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent - REQUIRED
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training - preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification - preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
• California Phlebotomy license required (per State of Credentials/Licenses Required).

Required Experience

• Minimum of 6 months experience - REQUIRED.

Nice-to-Have Experience

• One (1) year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
