Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Phlebotomist I for the first shift in Melrose, MA. This contract position runs for 7 months with a pay rate of $21.00 per hour and onsite work flexibility in the Eastern Time zone.

The role requires phlebotomy certification and at least 6 months of experience, including pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy skills. Responsibilities include patient interaction, specimen collection, and accurate record-keeping, with opportunities to contribute to process excellence and patient

Phlebotomist I - 1st Shift

Location: Melrose, MA

Onsite Flexibility: Onsite

Contract Details

• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 7 months
• Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: First shift, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM / Eastern Time

Job Summary

The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions. The PSR I draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. The PSR I has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner. The PSR I will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.

Required Skills

• Ability to provide quality, error free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Keyboard/data entry experience a must.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification from accredited school required (per State of Credentials/Licenses Required field).
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 6 months experience.

Nice-to-Have Experience

• One (1) year phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
