Job summary

Hi-Desert Medical Center Hospital is seeking a per diem phlebotomist to perform venous and capillary blood collections with emphasis on patient safety across all ages. You will process specimens, maintain labeling integrity, and support clerical tasks while training staff.

The role includes rotating weekends and a variable schedule in a hospital setting. Competency in phlebotomy, specimen handling, and inventory support is required; 6 months of experience or formal training is mandatory, with

• Preferred: 1 year experience in phlebotomy or related field.

Position Summary

Responsible for the collections of blood specimens ensuring patient safety and consistency with age-specific considerations for all patients, neonates, infants, adolescents, adults and geriatrics, as well as employees.
Performs clerical functions, processing duties, and training of students and employees.
Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.
Other related duties as assigned.

Education

Required: High School Graduate or equivalent

Experience

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday Variable Shift, with rotating weekends
