Job summary

Hutchinson Clinic is seeking a Phlebotomist to collect blood and other patient specimens and to assist with laboratory procedures in a busy clinical setting.

The role requires completion of a phlebotomy certification and ability to venipuncture pediatric and adult patients. You will schedule tests, help with reports, and maintain patient confidentiality while delivering high-quality service.

Qualifications

• High School Education or equivalent required.
• Completion of a Phlebotomy certification course or in house phlebotomy certification.
• Knowledge of medical terminology helpful.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Job description

Role:Collect blood and other patient specimens. Schedule and advise patients for special laboratory tests and procedures. Distribute laboratory reports and assist with writing or updating laboratory procedures.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Maintain a professional and friendly atmosphere for patients and coworkers.Abide by all lab/clinic policies and procedures.Achieve competence in both venipuncture procedures for both pediatric and adult patients.Maintain patient confidentiality.
