Perform finger-stick collections on pediatric patients when ordered. Collect urine, mucus or swabs for laboratory testing. Maintain a pleasant working environment for all staff.****Duties/Responsibilities:*** Explain blood draw procedures to patients and answer any questions about the process.* Help calm nervous or frightened patients and help them remain calm during the procedure.* Gather medical testing materials, including needles, sample vials, tubes, etc.* Follow all health and safety protocols and procedures to maintain sanitary work areas.* Verify patient information and label all samples properly.* Perform phlebotomy successfully with minimal or no complications.* Collect other laboratory samples such as urine, nasal swabs, etc.* Providing personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to others such as coworkers, customers, or patients.* Work well in a fast-paced setting.* Keep work area and patient waiting area clean, organized and presentable.* Help problem solve patient issues.* Be organized.* Be detail oriented.**Experience:**Must have phone skills and pleasant phone voice; customer service oriented; some computer skills; able to work independently and multi-task; perform well under pressure; able to work at a fast pace.**Education Requirements:**High School Diploma**Working Conditions:**Walking, sitting, bending, and standing with some light liftingThis position must be willing to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays**Risk Level:**Medium to High Exposure## Qualifications**Experience:**Must have phone skills and pleasant phone voice; customer service oriented; some computer skills; able to work independently and multi-task; perform well under pressure; able to work at a fast pace.**Education Requirements:**High School Diploma
