Actalent in Glendora, CA is seeking a Lab Technician with phlebotomy experience to assist in performing laboratory assays in a fast-paced hospital setting. The role requires strong communication skills, data entry, and comfort with Meditech EMR and Labcorp reference systems.

Responsibilities include performing phlebotomy procedures, specimen processing, and daily coordination with the laboratory team on patient samples. Weekend and holiday rotation is expected.

Job Title: Lab TechnicianJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Lab Technician with proficiency in phlebotomy techniques and medical/laboratory terminology. The ideal candidate will have one to two years of experience assisting in performing laboratory assays, preferably in an acute care hospital setting. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential, along with the ability to operate computer input terminals and perform typing and word processing tasks.

Work Environment

The position offers a fast-paced work environment under the supervision of the Director Laboratory Services, Assistant Director, and Supervising Clinical Laboratory Scientists. The role involves working on the floor performing draws and in the lab processing specimens. The team operates using the Meditech EMR system and Labcorp online for reference. The role requires working full-time during the AM shift from 5:00am to 1:30pm, with rotating weekends. You will be part of a close-knit work environment, and the dress code is scrubs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Glendora, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
