Overview

Our company is seeking a qualified Phlebotomist. The PSR I is responsible for drawing quality blood samples from patients and preparing specimens for laboratory testing, following established practices and procedures. The PSR I interacts directly with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence by explaining procedures and performing blood draws in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.

Responsibilities

1. Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screenings, and insurance exams.
2. Complete all data entry requirements accurately, including patient registration and test order entry from requisitions or databases.
3. Verify patient demographic information and initials, including obtaining patient signatures post-venipuncture to confirm tubes are labeled correctly and in their presence.
4. Research test and client information to confirm and verify all written and electronic orders using lab technology systems or directories of services.
5. Complete required training courses and stay updated with the latest phlebotomy techniques.
