TriStar Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, TN is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform blood collection and support quality-improvement initiatives.

You will collect samples from patients of all ages, maintain safety and accuracy, and contribute to a team‑oriented environment aligned with HCA's mission to care for patients with purpose and integrity.

New hires receive orientation and opportunities to advance within the patient‑care team.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a phlebotomy program is preferred.
• Ability to collect samples from age-specific populations.
• Previous phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples from patients using proper technique.
• Maintain patient safety and specimen integrity during collection.
• Participate in performance improvement and teamwork initiatives.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Phlebotomist successfully utilizes phlebotomy skills for collection of patient blood samples. Participates in Performance Improvement activities to assure continuous Quality Improvement. Maintains appropriate awareness when dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and all other customers. Promotes a supportive, team-work oriented environment. Fulfills departmental responsibilities with the long-range plan, mission, vision and values of TriStar Horizon.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience is preferred

• Must have the ability to collect samples from age-specific populations

• Successful completion of a Phlebotomy certifying program is preferred
