Job Description
As a Phlebotomist, you will be essential in delivering high-quality patient care through efficient specimen collection and processing. Reporting to the laboratory supervisor, your role involves performing venipuncture, blood sampling, and vital signs monitoring while adhering to medical terminology and laboratory procedures. Your core skills in patient service and physiology knowledge will enhance patient interactions, while your premium skills in clinical laboratory experience will ensure accurate and reliable results. Duties:
- Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens from patients at clinics in surrounding cities.
- Accession patient samples at Northwest Labs
- Prepare and label specimens for laboratory testing
- Follow proper laboratory procedures and protocols
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory area
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient information and test results
- Adhere to safety guidelines and infection control protocols
Experience:
- Must be fluent in English and Spanish!
- Previous experience as a phlebotomist or in a clinical laboratory setting is required
- Knowledge of laboratory techniques and procedures
- Familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in specimen collection and labeling
