Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a dedicated phlebotomist to perform venipuncture and capillary collections across all age groups. You will collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests while ensuring accurate patient data entry.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification, and a proven track record in customer service. Bilingual English and Spanish is preferred. Position involves travel to additional sites and potential overtime.

Job description

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other testing
• Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to patients
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
• Work in a Patient Service Center or Client office
• Perform skilled specimen collections and serve as the face of the company

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred
• Preferred: 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience with pediatric and geriatric patients
• Ability to travel to additional sites when needed
