Job summary

Dignity Health is seeking a Phlebotomist to support our Laboratory in Chandler. You will obtain and prepare specimens for analysis for outpatient, inpatient, surgery, and emergency department patients, under the Phlebotomy Supervisor's guidance.

You will use a wireless handheld computer to ensure patient safety and accuracy of specimen handling. The ideal candidate will have completed an accredited phlebotomy program, with national certification preferred, and may bring health-related work

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS CPR).
• Completed an accredited phlebotomy program with national certification preferred.
• Previous experience in a health-related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• As a Phlebotomist, obtain and/or prepare specimens for analysis for inpatient, outpatient, surgery, and emergency department patients.
• Work under the direct supervision of the Phlebotomy Supervisor and help ensure patient safety.
• Utilize the wireless handheld computer to support specimen collection and handling.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Phlebotomist, you will help the Laboratory obtain and/or prepare specimens for analysis so they can provide accurate laboratory services vital for outpatient, inpatient, surgery, and emergency department patients. Every day you will work under the direct supervision of the Phlebotomy Supervisor, obtaining and/or preparing specimens for analysis. You will be expected to use a state-of-the‑art wireless handheld computer to ensure patient safety and actively participate in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health.

To be successful in this role, you must be a dynamic Phlebotomist who is passionate about the health and well‑being of our patients and have completed an accredited phlebotomy program (with national certification being preferred).

Job Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CT CPRBLS)

Preferred

• Previous experience in a health‑related field
• Phlebotomy Cert

$19.01 - $24.24 /hour
