Job summary

Trigg County Hospital Inc in Cadiz, KY is seeking a PRN Phlebotomy Technician to handle specimen procurement, processing, and urine drug screens under supervision of the lab director and MLS/MLT. The role also includes clerical duties, daily workflow oversight, and training of new phlebotomy staff.

The successful candidate will be nationally certified (ASCP preferred but not required) and hold a high school diploma with phlebotomy training. Prior experience is welcome but not mandatory.

Position Type: PRN

• Has responsibility and accountability for specimen procurement, specimen processing, urine drug screen collection, report distribution from reference lab, and assisting with the non-technical duties in the lab under the direction of the lab director and MLT/MLS.
• Responsible for the majority of the clerical duties and trains new personnel in phlebotomy and oversees daily workflow.
• Supports, interprets, and enforces Hospital and Laboratory Policies.
• Abides by the Hospital’s Mission Statement and Laboratory Mission Statement.
• Contributes toward the accomplishment of the Hospital and Laboratory’s Objectives and Goals.
• Provides services to all age groups which may include infants from birth to two years, children from two to eighteen, adults from eighteen to sixty-five and geriatrics from sixty-five to expiration.
• Other duties may also be assigned as needed.
