Job summary

Labcorp in Boulder, CO is hiring a Phlebotomist to perform blood collections, collect specimens, and enter patient data accurately. The role requires a high school diploma, phlebotomy training, and strong customer service skills. You may travel to additional sites as needed while supporting comprehensive health benefits.

Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with overtime as requested. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plans.

Qualifications

• 9 months or more experience as a Phlebotomist.
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Location & Schedule

Medical Clinic in Boulder, CO 80303.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm, additional hours/days may be requested in this role.

Job Responsibilities

• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
• 9 months or more experience as a Phlebotomist

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Quarterly Incentive Bonus Program

Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Salary & Benefits

Pay Range: $21.73 to $28.49 per hour

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including:

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.

Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
