Our phlebotomists draw and prepare blood for medical testing, transfusions, or donations. They are trained to collect blood via venipuncture, capillary punctures, and Vascular Access Devices (VADs). Positions are available in hospitals, clinics, outpatient care facilities, diagnostic laboratories, and blood donation centers across Ann Arbor, including Adult Inpatient areas, Ambulatory Outpatient areas, and the Children and Women’s Hospital.

Operating hours depend on specific-unit needs, with options for day shift, evening shift, and midnight shifts, most requiring rotating weekends.
Positions may be eligible for hybrid or remote work modes at the discretion of the department, with work agreements reviewed annually.
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement with SEIU. Background screening and pre-employment drug testing are required. Job postings are open for at least seven days, with review starting as early as the eighth day.
