Job summary

The Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) invites applications for Adjunct Instructor - Philosophy (Pool). This pool is used to hire part-time instructors to deliver quality philosophy instruction across on-ground, online, and hybrid formats.

Responsibilities include preparing syllabi, using the college LMS, submitting grades, and maintaining timely communication with students and staff. A Master’s degree in Philosophy or Ethics (or related fields with 18 graduate hours in Philosophy) is required; a

Qualifications

Knowledge of and experience with instructional delivery modes, including synchronous and asynchronous online teaching.
Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse student, faculty and staff population.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

Teach courses via on-ground, online and hybrid delivery modes as assigned.
Work with course leads and/or program coordinators to ensure consistent and equitable student experiences.
Utilize the College’s learning management system to provide course materials to students.
Submit updated department syllabus prior to the first day of class.
Respond to emails/messages within 48 hours, except on weekends.
Submit final grades by the Registrar's deadline.
Comply with all College and TBR policies and guidelines.
