Summary:

Typically tasked with one very specific and highly technical responsibility within the function. Specialists are considered the source of truth and often their input is necessary for high level decision-making. In Philanthropy the specialists provide a wide range of expertise within philanthropy operations and fundraising. They represent a wide range of years of experience; some are more junior in their careers, while others have many years of experience. Many are considered “subject matter experts” (SME), they have acquired deep technical knowledge.

Responsibilities:

Job Requirements:

Education/Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.

Experience

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar setting.


• Experience working with Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM or donor database preferred.


• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.


• Background in fundraising or non-profit a plus.


• Database experience is a plus.


• Experience with volunteers and/or events may be preferred.


• Three years of experience processing gifts and data in Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge.


• Higher levels require five to seven years’ experience in a non-profit setting.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

• Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge or NXT Fundamentals Professional Certification preferred.
