Job summary

United Way of the Midlands seeks a Philanthropy Officer to join the Resource Development team. You will cultivate Major Gifts and Tocqueville donors, grow leadership giving in workplace campaigns, and collaborate with the AVP of Major Gifts and Endowments to expand revenue.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years experience in development or sales-related job with successful outcomes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with Major Gift and Tocqueville donors to encourage giving and engagement.
• Support stewardship for Tocqueville Society members through personalized outreach.
• Identify donor growth opportunities and connect supporters to UWM’s mission.
• Prepare correspondence, presentations and reports to support donor cultivation.
• Maintain accurate donor records in the CRM.
