Overview

The Philanthropy Officer will play a critical role in increasing donor support and acts as an ambassador for the Foundation and ARH across the community. Responsibilities include: identifying new donors, cultivating and stewarding existing donors to increase retention and giving levels, and managing relationships between donors and board/staff members. The Officer will also organize and attend Foundation events, Grateful Patient programs, Employee giving campaigns, and other activities as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Help donors achieve their philanthropic goals through a relationship with our organization.
  • Identify and qualify new prospects and donors in the region.
  • Coordinate virtual and in-person meetings to cultivate relationships with donors and prospects.
  • Prepare proposals, solicitations, reports, and other written materials.
  • Track and report key metrics using internal systems.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact, providing excellent customer service to donors.
  • Manage a portfolio of approximately 50 prospects with tailored cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies.
  • Coordinate with hospital administration, physicians, and senior leadership to advance prospect engagement.
  • Arrange meetings with major donors, including scheduling and follow-up to maintain momentum.
  • Meet all fundraising metrics, including visits, calls, and proposals.
  • Make face-to-face solicitations with approval from the Executive Director.
  • Support Foundation activities such as events, programs, and campaigns.
  • Identify partnership and speaking opportunities for the Executive Director to promote the Foundation.
