Job summary

Common Sense Media seeks a strategic Head of Philanthropy to lead the Individual Giving program and shape a multi-year donor strategy. You will build pipelines across small to principal gifts, collaborating with executives to secure transformative investments.

Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, you will mentor a three-person team, align fundraising with program goals, and drive data-informed decisions to advance the organization's mission in education and child safety.

Qualifications

• As a senior fundraiser, you will lead major and principal gifts with a track record of six- and seven-figure closes.
• You'll build the development function, mentor a small team, and drive a data-informed pipeline.
• Experience with education, science, or health-focused philanthropy is preferred.

• Direct and grow a multi-year individual giving program across donor segments.
• Lead major and principal gift solicitations with executive leadership support.
