The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Indianapolis (SVdP Indy) is seeking a Philanthropy Associate to support fundraising efforts and manage donor relations. The role requires strong communication skills, experience in nonprofit fundraising, and a Bachelor's degree. The Associate will develop relationships with donors, set financial goals, and collaborate with volunteer leadership to enhance fundraising results, contributing essential services to thousands in need across Indiana.
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Indianapolis (SVdP Indy) is a basic needs nonprofit providing services to over 250,000 neighbors in central and southern Indiana each year. Services include operating the largest food pantry in the Midwest, distributing over 10 million pounds of food annually. SVdP Indy also provides almost $2 million worth of clothing, household items, and beds to individuals and families in need each year. In addition, SVdP Indy’s Love Your Neighbor Center provides residential housing, job placement, and self-sufficiency support services to unsheltered individuals who are seeking to empower themselves to implement permanent solutions into their lives. The Philanthropy Associate will support the Philanthropy Director in developing relationships with prospects and donors. The candidate will be responsible for seeking financial support from individual, corporate, and foundation donors; setting goals and developing annual plans; working with volunteer leadership to create and implement prospect strategies; helping to maintain the donor database; and managing donor relations with existing donors. The Philanthropy Associate will work with staff and volunteer partners to achieve fundraising goals and increase overall development results.
