Job summary

Knox College seeks an Associate Development Officer to grow donor relationships and sustain support for the College’s priorities. You will manage a portfolio of 120–140 prospects, focusing on early discovery and qualification, and cultivate leadership annual gifts while working closely with the Advancement team to feed the major gifts pipeline.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 1–2 years experience in fundraising, sales, admissions, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a dynamic portfolio of ~120–140 prospects focused on discovery, qualification, and gifts in the $1,500–$25,000 range.
  • Conduct outreach, calls, and visits to assess prospect interest and capacity for gifts.
  • Complete ~200 discovery/qualification steps per year (including 100 in-person/virtual visits).
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and prospect strategy discussions.
  • Collaborate with Advancement leadership on strategy and hand-offs for major gift attention.
  • Identify ways to increase donor involvement and provide stewardship.
  • Prepare reports, acknowledgments, and gift proposals for donor visits.
